Back to The Fundamentals

No matter what illness or disease, eating healthy foods often, moving your body frequently and having a healthy mind are the key ingredients to overall health and healing. You will be amazed at how your body FUNCTIONS when you give it what it NEEDS! As health professionals it is our job to inform patients of these essential building blocks as well as direct our patients to other professionals if they choose to take action on improving their health.

Move Well

Life is motion! And we are meant to move our body frequently. Exercising strengthens muscles, improves mental health, boosts the immune system and is vital to the health and well-being of your spine and nervous system.  The stronger your legs, glutes, core and spinal muscles are, the longer you will hold your adjustments and the better your spine will handle daily stressors.  Even our disc health is reliant on motion. Imbibition is the influx of nutrients into the disc and waste out of the disc. This is vital for repair, healing and maintenance of disc health. So help your spine out and get moving!

Eat Well

Do you ever wonder how you can eat 2,000+ calories of fast food in one sitting, but be hungry an hour later? It's simple...high calories and low nutrition. So let's start fueling our bodies with the best nutrition. Eating plenty of colorful vegetables and fruits, clean proteins, small amounts of starches, and limiting sugar intake promotes health and prevents disease. Oh and don't forget...WATER! The human body needs plenty of water daily to function optimally. So grab a Hydro Flask and get to drinking!

A Supportive Hug

Think Well

When under emotional stress, our sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is on overdrive. Our body ramps up the production of stress hormones such as cortisol, adrenaline, and norepinephrine. These chemicals not only have an effect on our mental health, but also our physical well-being. Stress can suppress the immune system, cause digestive problems, wreak havoc on sleep, cause physical pain and increase systemic INFLAMMATION. Having the ability to process the world around us is essential to our overall wellness. This is easier said than done. The thing between the ears is a tricky thing! Let’s be honest, the news and social media only adds to the overall daily stress load. But with the help from friends, family, and professionals, it is something that we all can improve!
